The hotel sleeps up to 10 guests.   The second floor has 5 bedrooms and 2 shared bathrooms.  Each bedroom with its own unique personality and charm is furnished with beautiful antique pieces, charming decorations and comfortable queen size beds.

The open floor plan on the first floor offers a comfortable sitting area with a fireplace, flat screen TV, free Wifi, a large dining table, kitchen, and 2 restrooms. French doors open up to the back deck area with an amazing view of the mountains and a vast open meadow.

What time is check-in and check-out?

Check-in begins at 3:00 PM, and check-out is by 11:00 AM.

If you’d like early check-in or late check-out, let us know — we’ll do our best to accommodate if availability allows.
How do I make a reservation?

You can book directly through our website, through, or via Airbnb or VRBO. Direct bookings often include the best rates and personalized service.

What is your cancellation policy?

Full refund if canceled 30 or more days before check-in.
50% refund if canceled 14–29 days before check-in.
No refund for cancellations made within 14 days of check-in.
We recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect against last-minute changes.
Is there a minimum stay requirement?

Some weekends, holidays, or special events may have a 2-night minimum. This will be noted during booking.
Can children stay at the hotel?

Absolutely! Families are welcome.

Children under 3 years old may stay in their parents’ room for free and are not counted toward the room’s guest limit.
Are pets allowed?

Yes — we’re pet-friendly with prior approval and a pet fee.

Please call (408) 406-8639 before your stay to request authorization.

All pets must be leashed when outdoors and may not be left unattended in rooms.

Evidence of pets on the premises without approval will result in a $250 cleaning fee.
How many guests can each room or the cottage accommodate?

Each room and the cottage have specific occupancy limits listed in their descriptions.

Please respect these limits for the comfort and safety of all guests.
Is smoking allowed?

Smoking and vaping are not allowed indoors.

Designated outdoor smoking areas are available.

Please be mindful of our historic property and surrounding forest.
Are fires allowed?

No open flames or campfires are permitted.

We do allow use of the designated gas firepit, which must be turned off at the end of use.
Can we host a wedding, party, or event at the hotel?
Events

Yes! The Dorrington Hotel and grounds are available for private events and weddings.

All events must be pre-approved in writing and coordinated through our event manager.

A refundable security deposit may be held for event bookings or group reservations to cover potential damages or excessive cleaning.
